In honor of Kanazawa’s traditional seasonal event “Himuro no Hi (Himuro Day)” on July 1st, we are delighted to host a special one-day pop-up event in collaboration with the renowned Kanazawa Wagashi shop, Kanazawa Fuku usagi, on June 27 (Sat), 2026.
Himuro Manju is a traditional confection enjoyed in Kanazawa every year on July 1st, “Himuro no Hi (Himuro Day),” to wish for good health and longevity. Rooted in the historical event called “Himuro Biraki” from the Kaga Domain era, this auspicious local delicacy has been cherished by generations as a unique seasonal tradition of Kanazawa.
At this event, we are pleased to offer Kanazawa Fuku usagi’s Himuro Manju—which is usually available exclusively at their main store—during our Lounge Happy Hour from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Alongside this, a variety of Kanazawa Fuku usagi’s Wagashi will be specially available for purchase only in this event, together with a panel display corner showcasing the history and journey of the brand.

1. Himuro Manju from Kanazawa Fukuusagi
Himuro Manju is a traditional Kanazawa sake-steamed bun, deeply tied to the arrival of summer. Traditionally enjoyed on July 1st—known as “Himuro no Hi” (Ice House Day)—this sweet is eaten to wish for good health and protection against illness throughout the summer months. We invite you to take this opportunity to savor a taste of Kanazawa’s rich history and cultural heritage.

2.Special Sales & Exhibition Corner by Kanazawa Fuku usagi
In addition to a special sales area featuring sweets from Kanazawa Fuku usagi, a dedicated corner will showcase informational pop-up displays and panels introducing the brand. This exhibition offers a wonderful opportunity to discover the unique charm and careful craftsmanship behind their creations.
Questionnaire Participation Benefit
Guests who complete our survey on the day of the event will receive a complimentary Kanazawa Shizuku Jelly—a popular summer treat from Kanazawa Fuku usagi.
