This event offers the opportunity to appreciate the graceful dance of a Maiko, adorned in traditional Kyoto crafts designated as “Kyoto City Traditional Industries,” all within the flickering light of Japanese wa-rosoku candles.

In the warm glow of Japanese wa-rosoku candles, you can enjoy a Maiko’s performance—with her shironuri makeup designed to look her most beautiful in this light—along with the chance to try traditional ozashiki asobi games and take a commemorative photo with her.
As a special gift, all participants will receive an “OFUKI”—an Intergate Hotels original smartphone cleaning cloth made of hand-dyed Kyo-Yuzen silk, featuring adorable Maiko illustrations in different designs for each season.

*Under the Kyoto City Ordinance for the Promotion of Traditional Industries, 74 items have been designated as “Kyoto City Traditional Industries” based on reports from the Kyoto City Council for Promotion of Revitalization of Traditional Industries. In this traditional industry and culture experience, the various ornaments worn by the Maiko (such as Nishijin-ori and Kyo-Yuzen) and the Japanese wa-rosoku candles are among these designated items.
