What is Craft Band?
Craft Band (also known as paper band) is a type of ribbon made by twisting and flattening paper to create strips, and it is said to have originated in Japan. Initially used for sealing the mouths of rice bags, it later evolved into a material for handicrafts. Made from environmentally friendly materials such as recycled paper from milk cartons, craft bands are durable yet flexible, and can be used in a variety of weaving techniques. The craft bands used in this workshop are all made from domestic recycled paper, offering both sustainability and versatility.
