Instructor / Nao Iwasaka (Tsumugu Wagamiya – WASHI ART & CRAFT)
Tsumugu Wagamiya specializes in workshops where anyone can easily experience the craft behind washi paper. Utilizing her experience in the education field as a cram school instructor and in-house training instructor, Ms. Iwasaka has worked to spread the charms of washi paper and joy of crafting for 17 years.

Her mission is to “weave” (meaning of tsumugu) the connections between washi paper and people, between parents and children, and between people and society.

Washi paper is a gentle yet durable material born from a combination of Japan’s natural resources and human handiwork. Ms. Iwasaka hopes that by experiencing its charm, people will have the opportunity to reexamine their daily lives and themselves. She sincerely looks forward to spending time with you to “make, touch, and connect.”
